GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday is a day dedicated to giving. It is the first Tuesday after the shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which this year falls on Tuesday, December 3. Originally started in the United States, it has grown into a global movement that is also celebrated in the Netherlands.

It is a day to do something for others and marks the start of the traditional giving season in December.

Healthcare in Putumayo

The people of Putumayo, in the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador, lack access to adequate healthcare. Quina Care is committed to providing them with high-quality healthcare. To deliver this care to patients daily, funding is needed for staff and medication. Funding that the impoverished population of Putumayo cannot afford.

Operational costs

The renovation of the hospital is largely complete, with both the operating room and maternity ward now operational. However, contributions to operational costs are essential to keep the hospital running.

GivingTuesday

What can you do?

You can make a difference!

With a donation of $35 we can provide an adult with a consultation, including medication and laboratory tests. For $285 you can cover a patient’s overnight stay in our inpatient ward. By 2025, the hospital expects to provide approximately 3,300 adult consultations and 720 overnight stays annually.

If you choose to become a regular donor, we can better ensure the continuity of this vital care in Putumayo.

On GivingTuesday, we can work together to make the world a little better for the people of Putumayo!
