The container has arrived!

After a two-month journey over sea and land, a hefty pile of paperwork and quite a few phone calls, the moment had finally come: the container had arrived!

When the hospital opened its doors at 8:00 on Monday morning, the impressive truck was already waiting out front. A special moment, because after all those preparations it was finally time to unload the container.

In Ecuador, a container is not lifted off the truck. So our contractor had built a sturdy ramp, allowing everything to be wheeled out of the container with a pallet jack or hand truck. Quite a job, especially at 35 degrees in the middle of the tropics!
